PM Daksh is a dedicated skill development initiative by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment aimed at empowering the youth from Scheduled Castes (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Backward Classes (EBC). The program offers targeted training in industry-relevant trades to enhance employability and support inclusive economic growth. With a strong focus on practical skills and job-readiness, the program ensures that at least 70% of the trained candidates are placed in gainful employment. The program is being implemented across several states including Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra. Training is provided in high-demand sectors such as Apparel, Healthcare, Beauty & Wellness, Food Processing, and Electronics. By aligning training with market needs and focusing on underrepresented communities, PM Daksh plays a vital role in promoting social equity and sustainable livelihoods.
